The other day I looked at my closet and realized that there is too much color in there, as in reaching for a regular white tee or a simple black top is just not feasible so I’m on a major mission to change that. I know that it’s super ubiquitous in internet land right now to stock up on neutrals, but if you could see my closet (and the random little piles on my bedroom floor), you’d know that my wardrobe needs some serious sprucing up.

In my quest for some inspiration, I stumbled upon this amazing blogger who in my opinion can wear white like no other and her hair, don’t even get me started on that hair, it is absolute perfection.

If you are in need of some serious schooling on wearing neutrals, you need to check out these archives. Oh, and be prepared to head right to Walgreens right after to get some white nail polish just like I did. No joke.

I’m obsessed with these simple but stunning displays, I am especially taken by the different ways to use wire hangers. I actually detest wire hangers–for my clothes that is, but of course, I have a plethora of wire hangers just hanging around. Also, how random and awesome is that mirror hanging with the posters/pictures?

The only complaint I have about my home is the lack of good light, taking good photographs is nearly impossible. Which is why when I see beautiful images like these by Saria Dy, I am equal parts inspired and extremely envious.

Don’t you just love finding small but extremely well-curated online shops? How much more do you love an online shop that carries the loveliest bath oils this side of the www? If that’s the case, then you must check out Ederle, I seriously had to stop myself from posting every last picture on that site.

Pretty much anything you present to me that incorporates triangles, I’m gonna love. So, it’s no surprise that I’m obsessing over the work of textile designer Anna Duthie. Those visualisations are so fun, they remind me of playing with paper dolls as a kid.

Guess who’s got a new obsession? Yep, this gal! The other day I spent an obscene amount of time looking up unique ceramics, when I came across Ben Medansky’s work. I was especially drawn to the quirky styling of these products, I think that is what I love most.

Excuse me while I do a quick google search for ceramics classes in Chicago…

Happy Friday!

Ah, scarves, who doesn’t love scarves? What a great way to spice up an outfit and hide a less-than-stellar hair day. Also, as Benta studio proves, scarves make for real fun photo props in an adorable lookbook. I’m kinda bummed this website isn’t in English so I can figure out how to get my hands on one of these beauties.

I’m not going to lie to you, creatively, I’ve been sort of absent. I’ve hit a point where I feel like everything that could be done has been done by someone else, and done better than I could ever imagine. Don’t misunderstand me, this isn’t a “woe is me, I’m comparing myself to everyone” thing, it’s just, for lack of a better term, a creative block.

So, lately, I’ve been trying to find inspiration in new places, I’m so used to my same sources and they’re great, but they’re not pushing me to do or make or write interesting things. In my hunt for more offbeat inspiration, I stumbled upon the work of AQQ Design and thought, this is the sort of simple yet unique kind of inspiration I need right now, it’s definitely a good start.

Where do you turn when you hit a creative block? I’d love to know. not to mention you’d be helping a sister out.

I almost titled this post big ass knitting needles but decided not to, then I decided to stay true to myself and mention it in the body of the post instead.

Seriously though, I really want me a pair of humongous needles so I can make some awesome big rugs and finally have a reason to use super bulky yarn like this:

Also, if I could steal that outfit from the cutie above, that would be great as well.

Happy Friday, friends.
