I have no shame in admitting that I cannot wait for fall, I’ve had enough of this hot midwestern summer. The first thing I’m gonna do as soon as the brisk weather hits is to stock up on pretty and cozy knits such as the ones Julie Hoover has in her shop. I am in love with all her clearly well-crafted products and even more in love with the photography of these products.
Aaaand my obsession with knits continues. These images from Brooklyn Tweed reminded why it is that I deemed this the year of the knit, it also reminds me that I need to pick up my knitting needles again sometime soon.
Another unbelievably beautiful collection of knits? Say it ain’t so! We’ve hit the big time here folks, Sunghee Bang makes knitwear so gorgeous, Anthropologie, Barneys, they’re all over it. Sigh, says my wallet.
The cowl has officially become my most sought after accessory this winter. I am going to attempt to knit myself one but after I undoubtedly get really frustrated with my poor knitting skills and fail miserably, I will be setting my sights on one of Tara-Lynn’s wawa circle scarves. Absolutely gorgeous.
In an effort to kickstart my 2012 goals, I took my first knitting class. Of course in usual me fashion, I am already getting way ahead of myself and wanting to create things that are way too advanced when I haven’t even finished a potholder. I stumbled upon norwegian knitting designs and am drooling over the beautiful imagery. I want to make all these knits. Let’s be realistic though, this potholder is kicking my ass so I’ll settle for owning the book so I can look at the pretty pictures whenever I want.
