Indonesia ikut dua ajang UN Tourism perkenalkan desa wisata pada dunia
Indonesia has once again showcased its rich cultural heritage and natural beauty on the global stage, as it participated in two prestigious United Nations tourism events to promote its concept of village tourism to the world.
The first event, the 2021 UNWTO General Assembly, took place in Madrid, Spain, from November 30 to December 3. The General Assembly brought together tourism ministers and officials from around the world to discuss and collaborate on the future of the tourism industry in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Indonesia used this platform to highlight its village tourism program, which aims to empower local communities and preserve traditional ways of life by promoting sustainable tourism practices. Through village tourism, visitors can experience authentic cultural experiences, support local economies, and contribute to the preservation of Indonesia’s diverse cultural heritage.
The second event, the 2021 UNWTO World Forum on Gastronomy Tourism, was held in Istanbul, Turkey, from December 2 to 4. This forum focused on the intersection of gastronomy and tourism, highlighting the importance of food as a cultural and economic driver for tourism destinations.
Indonesia seized the opportunity to showcase its unique culinary traditions and promote its diverse culinary offerings to a global audience. Indonesian cuisine is known for its bold flavors, fresh ingredients, and rich culinary heritage, making it a major draw for food-loving travelers from around the world.
