cravings-131 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

It’s been quite some time since I put up a cravings post, but right now my wishlist is bursting at the seams, there seem to be so many cute things out right now. I’m slowly transitioning into my spring/summer wardrobe and I’m trying to stick to black and white/cream basics. I’m also trying to incorporate more heels into my rotation, nothing crazy, but being of a tiny stature, the slight boost in height gives me a bit of a confidence boost.

**Thanks again to those who took the time to vote for your favorite frames, I think I’ve made a decision, stay tuned! xo

on neutrals / love aesthetics

The other day I looked at my closet and realized that there is too much color in there, as in reaching for a regular white tee or a simple black top is just not feasible so I’m on a major mission to change that. I know that it’s super ubiquitous in internet land right now to stock up on neutrals, but if you could see my closet (and the random little piles on my bedroom floor), you’d know that my wardrobe needs some serious sprucing up.

In my quest for some inspiration, I stumbled upon this amazing blogger who in my opinion can wear white like no other and her hair, don’t even get me started on that hair, it is absolute perfection.

If you are in need of some serious schooling on wearing neutrals, you need to check out these archives. Oh, and be prepared to head right to Walgreens right after to get some white nail polish just like I did. No joke.

forget me not

I am a sucker for scarves, I have sooo many scarves in my wishlist right now it’s crazy. But, as with many things, my lack of funds means most will remain in my wishlist for a looong time. So, I do the next best thing, I share them with you. Forget Me Not creates such beautiful scarves, I can barely handle it. Also, beach towels and cushions! That owl pattern is on a scarf AND a cushion. I’m in LOVE!

Pretty much anything you present to me that incorporates triangles, I’m gonna love. So, it’s no surprise that I’m obsessing over the work of textile designer Anna Duthie. Those visualisations are so fun, they remind me of playing with paper dolls as a kid.

the bucket bag

Okay, enough with the heavy and spend a few moments focusing on what I’m currently really craving at the moment. A bucket bag! How dreamy is that second one, it has seriously invaded my dreams at night.

I’ve been looking for tons of hair inspiration lately as my hair has finally started getting past the “awkward growing out” stage. In the midst of my search, I came across these sweet items and images from Osei Duro, a new-to-me brand.

What a lovely discovery! I’m a little bummed that the piece I loved most is sold out, but there are a few others that have caught my eye.

Mapoesie’s SS13 collection has got me all giddy inside! Laying in the grass with my head on one of those scarves, sign me up!

the perfect tunic(s)

I’m probably late to realize this but, I’m pretty convinced that Mill Mercantile has the prettiest tunics around, I could live in these, every single day. Right now this tunic from Anthro has been in pretty frequent rotation but I could make room in my closet for the ones above. What is your go-to piece as of late?

Ah, scarves, who doesn’t love scarves? What a great way to spice up an outfit and hide a less-than-stellar hair day. Also, as Benta studio proves, scarves make for real fun photo props in an adorable lookbook. I’m kinda bummed this website isn’t in English so I can figure out how to get my hands on one of these beauties.

wardrobe revamp

dabble-wardrobe-revamp

Yesterday a small group of women gathered at this lovely place looking for some tips on hand sewing and mending clothes. This Dabble course, taught by the super sweet and talented Kandy Christensen was very laid-back and super helpful, after Kandy taught us how to properly sew on a button, it was like a light bulb went off, we all shared that wonderful a-ha moment. The combination of sewing, drinking and eating was surprisingly a great combination as well, as you can see from the photos, we had some good grub to nosh on whilst learning.

I look forward to taking some further lessons from Kandy and finally put to use that awesome sewing machine my husband bought me for Christmas. Up first, this pattern that I’ve been dying to make, hopefully in time for summer.
