I’m on the hunt for beautiful scarves for my head because I’ve finally made up my mind about something, I’ve decided to let my hair grow out. I’ve been rocking the pixie cut for a long time now and I’ve loved every minute of it, but I feel like I need a change. But, as many of you know, the growing out process is a painful, awkward time and I need all the help I can get. I’m thinking these pretty scarves by willow knows may just have to make their way to my head…
Do you guys have any suggestions for a gal going through the awkward growing out phase? I’m currently in the helmet head stage.
After chopping all of my grossly-dyed hair in 2007, I knoooow how painful growing out your hair is! Scarves are a brilliant choice. If I were you, I’d take the time to get the nice in-between haircuts, so you at least feel good about it as the months go by. I didn’t, so I looked awful and awkward all over the place. My hair got to be long-long just four years later (gah!). And of course, I’ve been slowing cutting it shorter and shorter lately. GOOD LUCK!
I’ve been there too! I use to cute mine so short it was almost buzzed. I’d dye it platinum blonde and then cut if off again… the last time I cut it all off was in ’06. I used barrets and headbands and/or I’d use gel and give myself a hawk or spikes (that was in the late 90’s and I was still a twenty–something ;) my hair is naturally wavy/curly, so, it had a mind of it’s own. Even when I didn’t do crazy stuff with it, a little gel or palmade went a long way to giving it desired shape and texture. And I always loved when the back would get barely long enough for teeny-tiny pigtails.
Love that you’re growing your hair out… change is always good! Can’t wait to see how it looks longer.
Scarves are probably your best bet. Also, when I was growing my hair out I put it up a lot as soon as it was long enough to be in baby pigtails or a tiny bun.
Yay for change! These scarves are beautiful and you will rock them!!
